A rare blue Pectolite, Larimar (also known as Atlantis Stone or Dolphin Stone) is mined in only one location in Los Chupaderos in the Dominican Republic through a series of 2,000 vertical shafts. This is an extremely difficult mining operation in a remote area. These highly prized minerals are generally a soft blue “Caribbean” color due to the substitution of Copper over Calcium from other Pectolites due to volcanic activity as it was formed in cavities of Basalt (lava stone).  The watery energy from Larimar assists in controlling your emotions; while the strong connection with the throat chakra helps to open up communication and let others know how we truly feel in a way that can be heard and accepted.
